ルワンダ回想録㉖サファリの大自然
管理人 今回、私は国立公園に行っている余裕はなさそうなので、その辺りは同行してくれるお友達に任せますが、住んでいた頃にはアカゲラ国立公園に時々遊びに行っていました。
家族で休暇中の旅行として行ったり、お友達家族と週末キャンプに行ったり。
そんな中の徒然日記シリーズで超長文の動物旅行記がこちらです。
アフリカの動物と自然の素晴らしさは、本当に偉大です。
初めてザンビアのMufuwe National parkに行った時に震えるほど感じた感動でした。 けれど、それは動物の生の姿に驚いたし興奮していて。
この時はなぜか自然という自分の力ではどうにもならない偉大なものに自分の存在と自然の調和とをすっと受け入れることができたような気がします。
初めにアフリカへの憧れを持ったのは、ライオンやゾウやキリン、動物園で見るのが好きだった動物が草原を走るところを見てみたい、という子供時代の気持ち。
その綺麗な景色が自分で見たくて、でも美しい地球とそこに暮らす人間の厳しい現実を同時に知る体験が、自分の中でどう消化していいのか、ずっと問い続けてきたことでもありました。
今、INSHUTIを継続していくこと、それが自分の経験が活かせる形であり表現の一つなんだと捉えています。
【徒然シリーズ・自然】（長文）2018年1月4日
年末にルワンダで野生の動物が生息するアカゲラ国立公園へ出かけた。 ４回目になるが、２回はキャンプが目的。今回は、自分たち家族のみで動物を見ることも目的のうちだったのでサファリを何度もゲームドライブした。
自分自身２００６年に初めてアフリカに来てから、何度も国立公園に出かけているのだけど、今回感じたことは、また新しい感覚だった。
国立公園内の道を車で走り回ったりボートで湖を廻ったりしてそこに動物たちが遭遇するかどうか。
自然の中を見つめ目を凝らして動物を探す。初めは、これとこれとこれが見たい！と意気込んでいるのだが、そうそう簡単に遭遇できるわけではないので、 間が開くと子どもなんかは特に暇を持て余してしまう。
ある程度の動物リストが埋まってきたら、子どもたちは探すのも諦めている有様。
今まで、特に初めてザンビアで行ったSouthLuangwaでは、動物が出てくるとそれだけで興奮していた。
自然の偉大さとその中に生きる生の動物たち。弱肉強食の世界。
それを垣間見るチャンスがゲームドライブ。
ルワンダの国立公園は、他の国のそれに比べて規模が小さいこともあり動物自体に自分はあまり期待をしていないのだけれど、今回はレオパードを見たり象の群れに二回も道を塞がれたりとスリルも味わえたゲームドライブだった。
やはり何度訪れても野生の動物たちは、迫力がある。
しかし、いい意味で期待を裏切られた以上に、自然の色、動物の持つ色というのは、なんと多彩なことか、に感動を覚えた。
これまでの自分にとっては、動物たちが余りに壮大で自然はその背景にあるものだった。
緑、青、白、茶色、をベースにその濃淡が無数に存在する。
同じ葉が、木が、土が、空が、花が、虫が、動物が、光の彩光でその色はまた全く異なる姿を見せる。
その様相は、刻一刻とまた姿を変えていくのだ。
その神が創造したアートに見事に同化しているそれぞれの命。
ものの見事にその色に紛れて生きている。
この自然の中にただ気づかないだけでそこにいる生き物たちが無数に存在していて、そこを少し覗かせてもらっている我々人間。
赤ちゃんを中心に大きな大きな体全体何頭もで囲み、赤ちゃんが行く方向に群れが合わせる象の家族は、連帯感から生まれるヴェールのようなオーラを感じる。
何トンとある体重を動かしているはずなのに、辺りは森閑としている。
静粛にある命は、余計なものがないありのままの正に自然の姿。
シビアな世界にある必要最低限の営み。
誰に教わったわけでもなく種ごとそれぞれに備わっている命をつなぐための一驚を喫する技。
何気なく眺めていた湖の浅瀬に数種類の鳥が獲物を狙っていたり、水面の生き物をつついていたり、平和な景色の奥にちらりとこちらを確認して気配なく去っていく豹を見た。
その世界は、平和そのものだった。この自然を前にして自分は、非力であること、どんな状況下にあってもこの自然の原点を忘れないでいたい、と自分に言い聞かせた。
2018年1月4日 【Nature】(long sentences)
We went to Akagera National Park at the end of last year. This is the fourth time staying in Akagera National Park, but twice of them were for mainly camping together with friends.This time we were targeting to see some animals, so went game drives.
I myself have been experienced Game drives in National park many times before since I have been to Zambia for the first time in 2006, however I found something new this time.
We search animals from the car or from on the boat of the lake. If we are lucky enough, we can encounter some of them. Strain our eyes to look for something moving. At the beginning, we can try our best. After ticking some check list what do we see, then we're getting tired to serach around. For children sometimes it can be boring driving for a long time along the bumpy road.
It was fun for me to serch animals in the national park, and once I find big fives it was so exciting. Greatness of the nature and creatures in it. They have to be under law of the jungle. To catch a glimps is a fun for game dives.
National Park in Rwanda is smaller than other parks in Africa, so that makes us not to have so much expectations for seeing animals, but this time we could see a leopard and a herd of elephants twice just in front of our car. It was thrilling. Wild animals in the nature have a tremendous power.
Although more than it was beyond expectations, I was moved to see how natural coulor has a boundless varieties. The nature for me was just a background of wild animals because wild animals are magnificent enough to be moved. Based by green, blue, white, and brown, it can be infinitive. The same leaves, trees, ground, sky, flower, insects or animals can be different colour on each existance even can be different in every second.
All lives assimilate into the art of God's creation.They are splendidly part of the nature. There are a countless number of animals in this mother nature but we just don't realise it then passing through. Maybe human beings are just gettting a look into small part of their life.
Always surrounding babies In the middle of the herd, elephants family members follow wherever the babies go. A sence of solidarity creates veil like an aura. They seem to have few tons of their weight, though totally quiet. The lives in the silence have no-frills. They are just the extremely natural.
In sever world there is minimum working of nature. No one teaches to animals, but they have astonishing inherent techniques of surviving for each species. I was idly looking the scenery from the boat. There were few varieties of birds looking for something to eat. Soon after that we saw a leopard looking back at us without any sounds and leaving toward the bush. That world was just a peace. In front of this peace, I am powerless. I told myself to remind this peceful source of nature under any circumstances.
